Neighbourhood FAQ

For general questions, visit our FAQ page.

01 How are neighbourhoods defined?

We use widely recognised area names within the Federal Capital Territory. These include established districts like Wuse, Garki, and Maitama, residential estates, satellite towns like Kubwa and Lugbe, and commercial zones that Abuja residents commonly use for navigation.

02 My neighbourhood is missing. Can I request it?

Yes. If your neighbourhood is not listed, contact us or mention it when submitting a place. We regularly add new areas as the city grows and our coverage expands.

03 Why do some areas show zero places?

We have pre-created areas based on Abuja's geography and are actively populating them with listings. Areas showing zero places will have listings added soon — you can accelerate this by submitting places you know.

04 Can I browse by category instead of area?

Absolutely. Visit our homepage to browse by category — restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools, and more. You can also combine both by searching within a specific area and category.

05 How do you decide which areas to cover?

We aim to cover the entire FCT. Our initial focus is on the six Area Councils — Abuja Municipal, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Kwali, and Abaji — with particular depth in the city centre and surrounding suburbs where most businesses are concentrated.

06 I own a business in one of these areas. How do I get listed?

You have two options: submit your business to our directory, or if it is already listed, claim the listing to take ownership and update the details yourself.

07 Are the place counts accurate?

Place counts are live and reflect the current number of published listings in each area. These numbers update automatically as new listings are added or existing ones are reassigned.

08 Do you cover areas outside the FCT?

Currently, JustAbuja focuses exclusively on Abuja and the Federal Capital Territory. We do not cover other Nigerian states or cities at this time, though this may change in the future.

09 How often are neighbourhood listings updated?

Our directory is continuously updated. New businesses are added daily, and existing listings are reviewed regularly for accuracy. Business owners with claimed listings can update their own information at any time.

10 Can I suggest a description for my neighbourhood?

We welcome local insights. If you have knowledge about a neighbourhood that would help visitors understand the area better, please contact us with your suggestion. Community contributions make the guide more useful for everyone.
