Search for your business on JustAbuja. If it is already listed, copy the listing URL. If your business is not yet listed, you can submit it here first, and claim it after publication.
Submit a Claim Request
Fill out the claim form below with your business details, the listing URL, and proof of ownership. We accept a range of verification methods — from CAC documents to an official business email address.
Verification Review
Our team reviews your claim and verifies your identity. This typically takes 2 to 5 business days. If we need additional information, we will contact you by email. Most claims are approved on the first review.

01 Is claiming a listing free?
Yes. Claiming and managing your basic listing is completely free, and always will be. We may offer optional premium features in the future — such as promoted placement or enhanced profiles — but basic listing ownership and editing costs nothing.
02 How long does verification take?
Typically 2 to 5 business days. Most claims are reviewed within 48 hours. If we need additional information, we will contact you by email. Complex cases involving multiple stakeholders may take slightly longer.
03 What counts as proof of ownership?
We accept several forms of verification: CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) registration documents, an email sent from the business domain, a phone call verification to the listed business number, your name on the business website as owner or manager, or any official documentation linking you to the business.
04 Can I claim a listing for someone else?
Yes, if you are an authorised representative, manager, or marketing agent for the business. You will need to provide proof of your professional relationship with the business — such as a letter of authorisation, company email, or contract.
05 What if my business is not listed yet?
You can submit your business through our Submit a Place page first. Once our team reviews and publishes the listing, you can then claim it using this form. You can even submit and claim in parallel to speed things up.
06 Can a claimed listing be removed?
Yes. If you are the verified owner of a listing, you can request its removal at any time. Simply contact us with your claim reference, and we will process the removal within 48 hours.
07 What happens if two people claim the same listing?
We verify each claim independently. If we receive competing claims, we will contact both parties and may request additional documentation to establish the rightful owner. Our editorial team makes the final decision based on the evidence provided.
08 Can I transfer ownership of a claimed listing?
Yes. If your business has changed hands or you need to transfer management access to a new contact, email us with details from both parties and we will facilitate the transfer.
09 Will claiming improve my ranking in search results?
Claimed listings with complete, accurate information and high-quality photos tend to appear more prominently in our directory. While claiming alone does not guarantee a higher position, the improvements you make to your listing directly affect its visibility.
